Good morning Morongo Valley. Quick update on area activities.
MVFD is coordinating activities with APPPLE fire crews today. There will be increased presence of fire trucks and heavy equipment moving in and around Morongo Valley and Yucca valley. This is precautionary staging and pre planning for the fire activity.
The fire is still miles away and possess no direct threat to Morongo basin currently. As weather changes the fire conditions are being monitored and will be assessed for a response action from the Fire crews where needed, if needed.
MORONGO VALLEY IS NOT UNDER ANY WARNINGS OR ORDERS TO EVACUATE AT THE TIME OF THIS POST.
Most important concerns should be for you, family, animals, and personal property. Be safe and make good decisions early. Be prepared, stay ahead of the game.
