Community Services District

The Community service district consists of a five member board of elected local citizens. All serve as volunteers and are unpaid for representing us. A special district is a separate local form of government that delivers a limited number of public services to a geographically limited area.  

 

 Our timeline

1958: Morongo Valley community service district established

1962: CSD assumes responsibility of the community fire department

2001: Morongo Valley Fire Department transformed into a combination fire department

2008: Morongo Valley Fire Department expanded emergency medical services to include advanced life support ( Paramedic )
